Besides outstanding beaches and unique natural environment, Naxos is also known for its hiking trails. We invite travelers to hike together with an experienced mountain guide to the top of Mt. Zas, the highest mountain of the Cyclades, where according to our ancient Greek mythology god Zeus -the supreme of all gods- spent his teenage years before acquiring the thunderbolt from the Cyclops! Your private car & driver will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the beginning of the path where you will meet with Giorgos, your Expert Mountain guide. Following the ancient trail that will lead you to the highest point of the Cyclades, marvel splendid views of the Aegean on the way, learn about the local flaura and enjoy storytelling from a native’s perspective! On the way down, passing by farms and shepherds, we prepare your appetite for a lovely authentic lunch at Chalki village, the old quaint capital of Naxos.

*The hiking experience to the top of Mt. Zas is classified as moderate/demanding mountain hike. Hiking time is total 3 hours (1.5 hours per way – 4.6 miles/7.5 klm) including uneven mountain ground sections.

*Closed toe walking shoes are required, hat, water bottle. In order to avoid heat on the way down, departure time for this activity is adjusted accordingly throughout the season months. The tour can be offered either morning or afternoon hours.

• Cancellations received within less than 24 hours before departure and no shows are non-refundable. Cancellations received up to 48 hours prior to tour departure are subject to 50% cancellation fee. Full refund is provided to cancellations received earlier than 48 hours before the delivery of our services. Cancellation notice must be submitted in writing.
